Post-coital test, questioned by many centers, seems to be very valuable. It allows us to exclude patients from the insemination procedure which – in case of correct result – is not effective. Inseminations carried out in patients where cervical mucus is normal and there are no problems with the sperm’s reaching the uterus and at the later stage to the egg cell, at the assumption that the sperm number, range and activation are appropriate, insemination has nothing to deliver. With this simple test, we are able to exclude the need to perform 90% inseminations. Insemination should be carried out only if there are indications for this procedure, so relatively very rarely.
