Surgical diagnostic procedures
In the case of doubts or difficulties with diagnosing the causes of infertility the doctor may suggest additional, enhanced surgical diagnosis.
Hysteroscopy
In some cases after the performance of appropriate tests it is necessary to perform surgical diagnostic procedures in the form of hysteroscopy or laparoscopy. At INVICTA Fertility Clinic all Patients have the possibility to undergo surgical procedures in hospital wards furnished with modern equipment and functioning in every INVICTA Facility.
Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical method used to assess the condition of the organs in the uterine cavity. It involves the visual inspection of interior of uterine cavity with the use of a special optical device – a speculum called hysteroscope. A camera attached to hysteroscope allows to monitor changes in the female reproductive organs. As a minimally invasive diagnostic tool, hysteroscopy is gaining increasing popularity in diagnosing female disorders. Hysteroscopy allows not only to diagnose, but also to remove certain lesions, as well as to collect mucosa specimens. The examination enables not only the diagnosis but also the removal of certain lesions, and mucosa sample collection. Hysteroscopy is performed also in the course of investigating the causes of infertility or where there is a risk of miscarriage.
As a minimally invasive procedure, hysteroscopy is gaining increasing popularity in diagnosing female disorders. At INVICTA Clinics both diagnostic and surgical hysteroscopy is available.
